Terms & Conditions

Booking, payment, cancellation and the practical details of travelling with us.

Last updated 2 August 2026

These terms explain how booking with us works — what you pay and when, how changes and cancellations are handled, and what you can expect from us on the road. They are written to be read, not to be endured. If anything is unclear, just ask.

01About these terms

These terms apply to every tour, excursion and travel arrangement booked with Morocco My Tours, an independent tour operator based in Marrakech, Morocco. By paying a deposit you confirm that you have read and accepted them on behalf of everyone travelling in your party.

Your booking is a contract between you and Morocco My Tours. We recommend keeping a copy of your confirmation email and itinerary, which together with these terms form the agreement between us.

02Booking and confirmation

Enquiries can be made through our website, by email or on WhatsApp. Nothing is reserved until we confirm availability in writing and receive your deposit.

  • We reply to enquiries within 24 hours, usually sooner.
  • A booking is confirmed once the deposit is received and we have sent a written confirmation.
  • Please check every detail on your confirmation — dates, names, pick-up point and traveller numbers — and tell us immediately if anything is wrong.
  • The lead traveller must be at least 18 years old and is responsible for the whole party.

03Deposit, balance and payment

We keep payment simple: a modest deposit secures your dates, and the balance is settled when your tour begins in Morocco.

  • Deposit: a percentage of the total tour price, confirmed in writing when you book. This secures your vehicle, guide and accommodation.
  • Balance: payable at the start of your tour, in cash (EUR, USD, GBP or MAD) or by prior arrangement.
  • Online payments: deposits can be paid by PayPal or card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express).
  • Bank transfer or card fees charged by your provider are your responsibility.
  • Prices are quoted per person or per group as stated in your itinerary, and are held once your deposit is received.

04What your price includes

Exactly what is included is listed on every tour page and repeated in your written itinerary. As a rule, our private tours include:

  • Private, air-conditioned vehicle with fuel and all road tolls
  • An experienced English-, French-, Italian- or Spanish-speaking driver-guide
  • Pick-up and drop-off at your accommodation or airport
  • Accommodation as described, on the board basis stated
  • Camel trekking and desert camp activities where these appear in the itinerary

Not included: international flights, travel insurance, visa fees, lunches and drinks unless stated, entrance fees to monuments and museums, optional activities, tips for your driver-guide, and anything of a personal nature.

05Accommodation and “or similar”

We name the riads, hotels and desert camps we intend to use. Because we book small, family-run properties, availability can occasionally change at short notice.

Where an itinerary says “or similar”, we reserve the right to substitute accommodation of an equivalent or higher standard in the same area. We will tell you as soon as we know, and you will never be moved to a lower category without your agreement.

Room allocation, bedding configuration and the exact tent type in desert camps are subject to availability on arrival.

06Changes made by you

Because every tour is private, we can usually accommodate changes — the earlier you ask, the easier it is.

  • Requests to change dates, routing or traveller numbers should be sent in writing.
  • Changes made at least 14 days before departure are normally made free of charge, subject to availability.
  • Later changes may incur costs already committed to hotels, camps or suppliers, which we will pass on at cost.
  • Adding travellers may change the price per person; we will always re-quote before confirming.

07Cancellation by you

Plans change. If you need to cancel, tell us in writing as soon as possible — the date we receive your notice determines what is due.

  • More than 30 days before departure: cancel free of charge. Your deposit is refunded in full or held as credit towards a future tour, whichever you prefer.
  • 15–30 days before departure: the deposit is retained to cover commitments already made on your behalf.
  • Less than 15 days before departure: the deposit is retained, and any non-refundable accommodation or supplier costs already paid may also be charged.
  • No-show or cancellation once the tour has started: no refund is available for unused services.

Refunds are returned by the method used for payment, normally within 14 working days.

08Changes or cancellation by us

We very rarely change a confirmed tour, but occasionally conditions on the ground require it.

  • Minor changes — a revised order of visits, or a different but comparable hotel — may be made without compensation.
  • If a significant change becomes unavoidable, you may accept the alternative, choose another tour, or cancel for a full refund of money paid to us.
  • Mountain passes, desert tracks and weather can force a change of route. Your driver-guide will always prioritise safety and will explain the alternative.
  • We are not liable for costs arising from events outside our reasonable control, including extreme weather, road or border closures, strikes, civil unrest, epidemics or government restrictions.

09Travel insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is a condition of travelling with us. Please arrange cover before you depart.

Your policy should include medical treatment and repatriation, trip cancellation and curtailment, personal accident, and cover for baggage and valuables. If your itinerary includes quad biking, sandboarding, camel riding or trekking, check that these activities are covered.

10Health, fitness and special requirements

Our tours involve long scenic drives, uneven ground at kasbahs and medinas, and nights in remote desert camps where facilities are simple.

  • Tell us at the time of booking about reduced mobility, medical conditions, allergies or dietary needs so we can plan properly.
  • Camel riding and desert activities are undertaken at your own risk and are not suitable for everyone; alternatives can usually be arranged.
  • Check current vaccination and health advice for Morocco with your doctor before travelling.
  • Children are welcome on all our tours and must be supervised by an accompanying adult at all times.

11Passports, visas and entry

You are responsible for holding a valid passport and any visa or entry documentation required for Morocco, and for meeting all entry conditions in force at the time of travel.

We are happy to advise, but we cannot accept responsibility if you are refused entry or denied boarding because your documents are incomplete or out of date.

12Your responsibilities on tour

Morocco is a warm and hospitable country, and a little courtesy goes a long way.

  • Please be ready at the agreed pick-up time so the day’s plan stays comfortable for everyone.
  • Dress modestly at religious sites and in rural villages, and ask before photographing people.
  • Keep passports, money and valuables with you; we cannot accept liability for items left in vehicles or accommodation.
  • Your driver-guide may end a tour, without refund, if a traveller’s behaviour endangers others or causes serious offence.

13Our liability

We take great care in selecting the vehicles, guides and accommodation we use, and we accept responsibility for arranging the services described in your itinerary with reasonable skill.

Our liability is limited to the total value of your booking. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for missed flights or onward connections, or for services you arrange independently. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

14If something goes wrong

Please tell your driver-guide straight away, or call us on +212 646 106 934. Almost every issue can be resolved on the spot while you are still travelling.

If a matter remains unresolved, write to contact@moroccomytours.com within 28 days of returning home, quoting your booking reference. We will acknowledge your message within 7 days and aim to reply fully within 28 days.

15Your privacy

We collect only the information needed to arrange and deliver your tour, and we share it solely with the hotels, camps and guides involved in your booking. Full details are set out in our Privacy Policy.

16Governing law

These terms are governed by Moroccan law, and any dispute will be subject to the courts of Marrakech. If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force.

We may update these terms from time to time; the version published on this page at the moment you book is the one that applies to your booking.
