How many people you travel with
Two ways to share a departure. Both follow the same route with the same guide — the difference is the vehicle and how many people are in it.
Shared 4x4
2 – 8 peopleThe smaller of the two shared vehicles. Everyone gets a window, the car stops where the group wants to stop, and the driver-guide travels with you the whole way. Runs with a minimum of two bookings.
Group minibus
Up to 17 peopleThe most affordable way to reach the dunes. A larger, air-conditioned minibus on the same route, with the same overnight stops and the same camp under Erg Chebbi.
The more you are, the less you pay
Every departure is priced per person against the number of seats filled. Two travellers pay the most per head; a full car of eight pays the least. Prices below are that lowest, full-car rate.

Why share
Share the road, not the experience
A shared departure costs less per person because the vehicle, the guide and the fuel are split between you. Everything else is the same trip we run privately: the same kasbahs, the same gorges, the same camp under the Erg Chebbi dunes.
Groups stay small on purpose. You travel by 4x4 or minibus rather than a coach, and you keep the same driver-guide from the first pick-up to the last drop-off.

How it works
From enquiry to the dunes
- 1Pick a departure
Choose one of the six routes below and tell us roughly when you want to travel.
- 2We confirm the group
We hold your place while the group fills, and confirm the date and the final per-person price in writing before you pay.
- 3Pay a deposit
A small deposit secures your seat. The balance is settled in Morocco at the start of the trip.
- 4Travel
You are met at your riad or the airport by the driver-guide who stays with the group for the whole route.

Shared Tour FAQ
The cost of the vehicle, the driver-guide and the fuel is fixed, so it is divided between everyone on the departure. The prices shown are the lowest rate, based on a full car of eight. With fewer travellers each person pays more; as others join your date, the price per person comes down.
In a shared 4x4 it is between 2 and 8 people. On a group minibus departure it can be up to 17. Tell us which you would prefer and we will confirm the numbers for your date.
Two people. If you are travelling alone we will pair you with another booking on the same date, or you can join a minibus departure.
The route and the stops are identical. On a shared departure you split the vehicle and the cost with other travellers; on a private tour the vehicle, the guide and the pace are yours alone.
Yes. Solo travellers are welcome on every departure, and single rooms can be arranged at a supplement.
We tell you well before departure. You can move to another date, switch to a private tour at the private rate, or take a full refund of anything you have paid.
Our driver-guides work in English, French and Spanish. Tell us which you prefer when you enquire.
