Privacy Policy

How we handle your information, in plain language.

Last updated 2 August 2026

We ask for the minimum information needed to plan your trip, we keep it only as long as we must, and we never sell it. This page explains exactly what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

01Who we are

Morocco My Tours is an independent tour operator based in Marrakech, Morocco, offering private tours and excursions. We are the data controller for the information described on this page.

For any privacy question, write to contact@moroccomytours.com or call +212 646 106 934.

02What we collect

We only ask for what a booking actually requires:

  • Contact details — name, email address and phone or WhatsApp number.
  • Trip details — travel dates, group size, accommodation preferences and the tour you are interested in.
  • Travel requirements — dietary needs, mobility or medical information you choose to share so we can plan properly.
  • Passport details — only where a hotel or camp is legally required to register guests.
  • Website data — pages visited, approximate location and device type, collected through analytics.

We do not process card numbers ourselves. Online payments are handled by PayPal or our payment provider, who never share your full card details with us.

03Why we use it

  • To answer your enquiry and prepare an itinerary and quote.
  • To confirm and run your tour — booking vehicles, guides, riads and desert camps.
  • To contact you before and during your trip, including in an emergency.
  • To meet accounting, tax and legal obligations in Morocco.
  • To improve our website and understand which pages travellers find useful.

We will only send you offers or travel tips if you have asked us to, and every message includes a way to stop.

04Our legal basis

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on:

  • Contract — to arrange and deliver the tour you booked.
  • Legitimate interests — to reply to enquiries, keep records and improve our service.
  • Consent — for optional analytics and any marketing messages, which you may withdraw at any time.
  • Legal obligation — where Moroccan law requires us to keep records.

05Who else sees it

We share only what a supplier needs to deliver your trip:

  • Riads, hotels and desert camps — usually just names and arrival dates.
  • Your driver-guide — your name, pick-up point and any requirements you have told us about.
  • Payment providers — PayPal and our card processor.
  • Service providers — email hosting, website analytics and our booking records.

We never sell your data or share it for someone else’s marketing. Some suppliers are outside the EU; where that happens we take reasonable steps to ensure your information stays protected.

06Cookies and analytics

Our site uses a small number of cookies and similar storage:

  • Essential — remembering your light or dark theme and keeping the anti-spam check on our forms working.
  • Analytics — Google Analytics measures how the site is used.
  • Behaviour insights — Microsoft Clarity records anonymised clicks, scrolling and mouse movement so we can improve the site. It masks text you type into forms and is not used to identify you.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser. The site keeps working, though your theme preference will not be remembered.

07How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted within 24 months. Booking and accounting records are kept for the period Moroccan tax law requires, normally ten years. Analytics data is retained in aggregated form. You can ask us to delete your details sooner at any time.

08Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Give you a copy of the information we hold about you.
  • Correct anything inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Delete your data, where we are not legally required to keep it.
  • Restrict or object to how we use it.
  • Transfer your details to another provider.
  • Withdraw consent for analytics or marketing.

Email contact@moroccomytours.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK and are unhappy with our response, you may complain to your national data protection authority.

09How we protect it

Our website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and enquiry forms are protected against automated abuse. Access to booking records is limited to the people arranging your trip. No system is completely secure, but we review our practices regularly and will tell you promptly if a breach affects your data.

10Children

Our services are aimed at adults. We do not knowingly collect information about children except the names and ages needed when a family books a tour. If you believe a child has given us information directly, contact us and we will remove it.

11Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The version published here is always the current one, and the date at the top shows when it last changed. Significant changes affecting existing bookings will be notified by email.
